The Beginning
Connect was established in 2006 as an independent Plumbers Merchant, working out of a singular unit in South Woodham, Essex, serving trade and retail customers in the local area.
Since its incorporation, we have seen substantial growth and expansion, now operating from multiple sites throughout the Essex area.
The Connect approach is simple, we look after & value both our staff & our customers, developing rapport & loyalty. With over a million pounds worth of stock on the shelf, we pride ourselves on having the right products in stock at a competitive price, with an unrivalled service & wealth of experience to back it up.
Our Staff
The key to our success has been the staff employed with the company. As a result of the extensive training that our staff undergo coupled with our personal approach that we adopt, we have fantastic staff retention. This results in two-fold happening, firstly we have a fantastic array of staff that have been with the company for multiple years, bringing consistency as well as knowledge and experience to our customers.
Secondly, the Management Trainee Programme that we employ results in a number of younger staff members coming through the business, retaining the knowledge of our more experienced employees, to continue the progression of the business whilst retaining the high standards that our customers expect.
How We Operate
Health & Safety is an extremely important part of our business and is at the forefront of every single Connect branch. We adopt a best practice approach, exceeding the minimum standards expected, to ensure the safety of our staff, customers, and any visitors to our sites or when our vehicles are offloading.
Our Products
Our relationship with the Builders Merchant Federation (BMF), along with our association with the National Buying Group (NBG) and the National Merchants Buying Society (NMBS) provides us with the buying power to compete with the National Merchants and allows us to keep our prices extremely competitive.
All branches stock a vast range of plumbing, heating & bathroom materials from the leading brands.
Helping Our Customers
We have bathroom showrooms at both our South Woodham & Rayleigh branch’s displaying a range of products.
South Woodham Showroom has over 10 displays showcasing the latest bathroom trends including Wet wall panels which are becoming a popular alternative to tiling.
Our Rayleigh Showroom has over 20 display showcasing the latest designs and trends including tiles and also offers a 3D CAD design service, helping to bring your dream bathroom to life.
For larger or more diverse projects, our dedicated Sales Office team offer our customers a service from start to finish, everything from product selection, to ensuring materials arrive on site without delays. Their years of experience and contacts within the industry allow them to offer the best product selection at a competitive price.
Our highly knowledgeable staff, extensive fleet and company size allows us to offer a fantastic stock range at a competitive price, deliver to a variety of site locations whilst retaining a personal service to assist you with your project.
